The decision was made by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the Association and was officially announced today. Ms. Gouta will assume her duties starting from January 1st, 2024, and her tenure will span a period of three years.
The European Fuel Manufacturers Association represents the interests of 39 companies engaged in the production and distribution of liquid fuels and transportation-related products, as well as in the production and distribution of energy and raw materials for the industry across Europe.
The European Fuel Manufacturers Association comprises of two divisions:
- FuelsEurope, which advocates for the industry's interests within European institutions
- Concawe, the association's scientific division with a 60-year history.
HELLENiQ ENERGY actively and continuously participates in both divisions of the Association, thereby significantly contributing to the advancement of the industry's goals.
In his statement, HELLENiQ ENERGY Deputy CEO and Executive Member of the Board of Directors, Mr. George Alexopoulos, emphasized: "This is a significant accomplishment both for our colleague, Liana Gouta, whom we wish great success in her new responsibilities and for HELLENiQ ENERGY. Liana Gouta has more than 30 years of experience in the Greek oil industry. She has high professional training and many years of experience in positions of responsibility at HELLENiQ ENERGY, and since March 2014, she has held the position of Director Energy Policy and International Affairs of the Group. At the same time, she participated in the Boards of Directors of the European Fuel Manufacturers Association (FuelsEurope & Concawe) and the European eFuel Alliance for Synthetic Fuels.
