HELLENiQ ENERGY, within the framework of the "Proud of Youth" Program which is under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, has completed the 15th round of awards to excelling graduates of General and Vocational High Schools, who live in the neighboring areas of the Municipality of Thriassio, Western Thessaloniki and Western Macedonia. The excelling graduates, who were awarded, managed to achieve their admission to higher education through the process of the 2023 Panhellenic Examinations.
In three award ceremonies held at the Foundation of the Hellenic World in Athens, the Lazarist Monastery in Thessaloniki and the Koventareio Library in Kozani, HELLENiQ ENERGY awarded commendations and cash prizes to 360 distinguished graduates from the Municipalities of Aspropyrgos, Elefsina, Mandra-Idyllia and Megara of Thriassio, Ampelokipos-Menemeni, Delta, Kordelio-Evosmos of West Thessaloniki as well as the Municipality of Kozani.
The award ceremonies were honoured by the presence of the Deputy Minister of Education, Religion and Sports Mrs. Domna Michailidou, members of the greek parliament, academics, representatives of the Church, local government officials and the mayors, who praised the achievements of the new generation.
HELLENiQ ENERGY was represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Ioannis Papathanassiou, the CEO Mr. Andreas Shiamishis and a number of executives of the Group's Management. The hosts of the ceremonies were Lila Kountouriotis and Lambros Fishfis.
The big surprise of the event in Athens was the appearance of the top Greek star Sakis Rouvas, who awarded the graduates of Thriassio, thus practically showing his support for the new generation.
HELLENiQ ENERGY consistently supports the local communities in which it operates and creates added value for society in a context of solidarity and sustainability. With an eye to the new generation, the Group has awarded a total of more than 4,300 graduates from 34 General and 16 Vocational High Schools, to which are added this year's 360 graduates who will continue their studies in Higher Education.
In addition, during the summer, HELLENiQ ENERGY, within the framework of the "Proud of Youth" Program, awarded 22 scholarships to excelling final students and University graduates, who wish to continue their postgraduate studies at distinguished Universities in the United States, Europe and Greece. The postgraduate programs concern areas related to the activity of HELLENiQ ENERGY, such as the areas of Engineering and Energy, Economics and Management, Environmental Sciences and Digital Transformation.
Since the start of the Scholarship Program to date, a total of 292 scholarships have been awarded.
