Announcement for the distribution of special tax reserves, according to art. 72 of L.4172/2013

HELLENIC PETROLEUM S.A. hereby announces that the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders of the Company on 15th December 2014 approved the special regime taxation at a preferential rate of 19% of special tax reserves amounting to € 79,477,054.70 and the distribution of a net amount of €0.21 per share, corresponding to € 64,183,388.05, without any further tax obligation for the shareholder.

The Company's Extraordinary General Meeting decided that the shares will trade ex- reserve distribution on 31.12.2014, and 02.01.2015 is defined as the date of determination of the reserves distribution beneficiaries (record date). Distribution payments will start on 09.01.2015 through National Bank of Greece S.A. network.

Shareholders will be able to receive the distribution through National Bank of Greece S.A. within a period of five years, thus until 31.12.2019. The payment of the distribution will be conducted through National Bank of Greece S.A., as follows:

1.Through the authorized administrators of beneficiary shareholders via the Dematerialised Securities System (SAT), who have accepted the terms of the reserves distribution agreement, between the    National Bank of Greece S.A. and the authorized SAT administrators.

2. Through the network of National Bank of Greece S.A. for those shareholders who have requested exemption from their authorized SAT administrators.

3. Through the network of National Bank of Greece S.A. from 16.01.2015 for those shareholders who will not receive their distribution payment through the authorized administrators.

The payment of the reserve amount distributed for cases 2 and 3 requires the submission of the SAT account number and the production of identification document. An authorized individual will be able to collect the distribution payment only with the submission of an authorization letter, verified for the authenticity of signature by a state authority, bearing the full details of the entitled shareholder as well as the authorized person.
