Voluntary action at the Vulnerable Women's Accommodation Center of Médecins du Monde Greece

For this initiative and on the occasion of International Women’s Day, a voluntary action of the company’s employees was organized at the "Ramona" Accommodation Center on Saturday, April 1, 2023. A large number of volunteers participated in the activity, which mainly involved painting and beautifying the Accommodation Center.

With particular sensitivity and with a view to upgrade the place, the volunteers, after being informed about the work of the Center, cooperated and worked as a team to carry out the renovation work, by painting walls and surfaces, while assembling and installing the furniture in the creative work area for children.

It is worth noting that the "Ramona" accommodation center of Doctors of the World can host up to 44 vulnerable women from different countries, many of whom mothers, or victims of gender violence. In addition to offering shelter, this center provides, nutrition and basic necessities, services of psychosocial support, personal empowerment and reintegration of the beneficiaries into society.
