Proper management of water resources contributes significantly to reducing floods, droughts, shortages, and pollution, effectively addressing the consequences of climate change and contributing to sustainable development.
The UN also reminds us that water is a key ally of humanity in preventing the transmission of the coronavirus pandemic. "Water and soap against coronavirus" is the updated message of this year's World Water Day.
On the occasion of this year's World Water Day, Mrs. Penelope Pagonis, Senior Director of Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development of the Hellenic Petroleum Group participated in the special issue of the Plant Newsletter with the following statement:

In this way, we contribute substantially to the protection and conservation of water resources and the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals for water (SDG 6 Clean Water and SDG 14 Water Life)".
