2 minutesEmployee Health and Safety is the most important priority and core business value of Hellenic Petroleum Group, across all of its activities. Our ambition is to be among the best in the industry, creating a safe working environment, with zero accidents and occupational illnesses.
To achieve our goals, we focus on strengthening a culture of safety, we improve the health and safety policies and procedures of our facilities, and we undertake initiatives and actions with an educational and training scope, both concerning employees as well as local communities which are adjacent to our facilities.
These actions contributed to the creation of a safe working environment and led to the Group being awarded at the Health + Safety Awards 2020, in a total of 6 + 1 categories - the Pride Award - , confirming our continuous and multilateral progress in the areas of Health & Safety.
We note that it is a great honor for us to win the 1st award in the general category of "Companies, Institutions & Organizations / Oil & Petrochemicals", with our candidacy for 1,000,000 man-hours without a day away of work incident at the Aspropyrgos Industrial Facilities. This award strengthens our course towards securing a continuously safer working environment.
